Tigmi Bags are hand woven in Tigmijjou, Morocco. They are made of natural water reed. The handles are goat leather. Each bag is made by hand and may vary slightly. The size is approximately 12.5H x 17W x 7D.

Simple Peace works with the village artisans of Tigmijjou, Essaouira, Morocco to produce these baskets. These artisans have formed a cooperative with the help of the Peace Corp small business development volunteers. Fair Trade helps artisans get a fair wage and fair price for their products while preserving traditional culture. These Fair Trade artisans respect nature, and produce their products using sustainable methods. Forming a cooperative allows the artisans to work directly with importers, cutting out unnecessary middleman. Fair Trade is good for the environment and good for families.
